After a year I again returned to the medieval city of Yvoire on the coast of Lake Leman. This time I plan to visit places I did not get to last time, like Jardin de 5 Sens, Evian or nearby Chateaux.
Photos of Geneva's famous Jet d'Eau in action taken during my visit of the region in July and August 2017.
A beautiful medieval village of Yvoire lies on the French shore of Lac Leman surrounded by picturesque peaks of French Alps. This post contains a selection of the best views during my the summer of 2017 stay.
The Swiss city of Geneva is cramped in between lake Leman and the Alps, near the border with France. It is such a naturally constrained space, that the city cannot grow larger anymore.
Švajčiarske mesto Ženeva leží medzi jazerom Leman a Alpskými kopcami pri hraniciach s Francúzskom. Je to taká ohraničená plocha, že mesto sa už nemá kam rozširovať.
Parc des Bastions is one of many green places in Geneva, Switzerland. Besides statues, fountains and greenery, you can find this giant chess board there.
A view from a window in the left wing of the Palais des Nations - the UN headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. This building was built in 1930's for the then-League of Nations.
Geneva is a small city in Switzerland. It lies at the western edge of Lac Leman, surrounded by mountains. The city centre is relatively small, you can get anywhere on foot. There are a few museums, but the real eye candy is the lake and its proximity to the border with France makes the well-known Alpine ski resorts only a short drive away.
