Days before Christmas have their own charm. The atmosphere and the vibe at the Christmas market adds to it. This year again I ventured to Vienna and enjoyed a walk along the market at Rathausplatz, Maria Theresia Platz and Karlsplatz. And got a pair of "boots" cups. :-)

Austria’s castles: Schloss Hof
Schloss Hof is a baroque-style palace surrounded by beautiful gardens. It is located in Austria near the border with Slovakia. It was once owned by princ Eugene of Savoi and later also by the Empress Maria Theresia.

Vienna: Christmas market 2016
This year, the Christmas festive season has again come earlier than last year. I was quite surprised during my most recent visit to Vienna on 12 November to discover the Christmas market in front of the municipality (Rathausplatz) is already on.
