France: Again in Yvoire
After a year I again returned to the medieval city of Yvoire on the coast of Lake Leman. This time I plan to visit places I did not get to last time, like Jardin de 5 Sens, Evian or nearby Chateaux.

Nyon: On the Swiss shore of Lac Leman
Nyon, a small Swiss city on the northern shore of Lac Leman, is only 20 minutes by train from Geneva central station. It is also connected to Yvoire by a regular boat service.
Geneva looks inconspicuous, but it is not necessarily like that
The Swiss city of Geneva is cramped in between lake Leman and the Alps, near the border with France. It is such a naturally constrained space, that the city cannot grow larger anymore.

View of Lac Leman in Geneva
Geneva is a small city in Switzerland. It lies at the western edge of Lac Leman, surrounded by mountains. The city centre is relatively small, you can get anywhere on foot. There are a few museums, but the real eye candy is the lake and its proximity to the border with France makes the well-known Alpine ski resorts only a short drive away.
