This post contains some of my best and favourite photos taken during winter 2018/2019. I love when it snows, I love looking at the white surroundings, trees, grass, frozen lake and also my car covered completely by it.
Switzerland: Fireworks everywhere / Ohňostroje
Swiss celebrated their national day on 1 August and finished the celebrations with fireworks and bonfires. I watched it from the french side of Lac Leman.
France: Jardin de 5 Sens, Yvoire
There is an interesting sensory garden in Yvoire - Garden of Five Senses. This project is on for already more than 30 years. It is full of flowers, herbs, trees and fountains built into several areas, each dedicated to one of five senses - Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste, and Touch.
France: Again in Yvoire
After a year I again returned to the medieval city of Yvoire on the coast of Lake Leman. This time I plan to visit places I did not get to last time, like Jardin de 5 Sens, Evian or nearby Chateaux.
Czech Republic: Boat trip Prague -> Slapy
Czechs are famous for their favourite weekend past time - tending to their summer houses - which are anything from simple sheds, cabin lodges, huts to luxurious chalets - and river sailing. So during one visit in Prague I decided to give it a go and set by a steamboat on Vltava river to Slapy.
Photos: Hungarian Gastronomy
Hungarian gastronomy is great. You will find perkelt, "gnocchi", langos, halaszlé, goulash and specialties from goose, duck, sea creatures or even "soups" in a paper cup. It's worth trying.
Hungary: Ezstergom / Ostrihom
Ezstergom, a Hungarian city on a southern bank of Danube, connected to Slovakia's Štúrovo by a historical bridge of Maria Valeria from 1895. Ezstergom's old city streets are charming, but the most well known is its basilica atop the hill and a palace owned by Ezsterhazy family, now a museum.
Hungary: Visegrad / Vyšehrad
Visegrad is a small Hungarian city often mentioned in the history. A castle from 4th century atop the hill offers magnificent views of river Danube.
Hungary: Budapest on photos
Budapest is split into two parts by the Danube river - Buda on the west and Pest on the east - connected by several bridges with the Chain bridge (Lánchíd), Elisabeth bridge (Erzsébet híd) and Independence bridge (Szabadság) being the most interesting.
Hungary: Budapest’s Városliget park and the surroundings
In the Városliget park there is the zoo, the amusement park, as well as the Széchenyi furdo, and the Vajdahunyad Palace - a mixup of the Gothic and Renaissance architecture. A short walk around the park and the surrounding area is definitely worth it.

From the Royal palace on the Varhegy hill in Budapest, you can take a beautiful pedestrian walkway around the northern side of the hill towards the Matthias Church and the Bastion.

U susedov: Potulky Budapešťou
Budapešť je krásna, dýcha tu história, jedlo je skvelé a maďarská kúpeľná kultúra má tiež čosi do seba. Mesto samotné, vrátane nabrežia Dunaja, štvrte s kráľovským palácom a Andrássyho ulica sú zapísané na zozname svetového dedičstva UNESCO od roku 1987.

A beautiful city full of history, good food and wellness culture - that's how I would describe Budapest, the capital of Hungary. It is also on UNESCO's World heritage sites list since 1987.
Czech Rep: Beautiful Prague / Stovežatá
Prague is one of those European cities I have never visited as a tourist. I always joined my local friends living in the city and they showed me around.

Lednice is a small town in south Moravia famous for its beautiful castle surrounded by a large picturesque park with a lake and a minaret.
Czech Rep: ZOO Lesna
ZOO and chateau Lešná is located near Zlín in Northern part of Moravia region. The area of the ZOO is large, with hills, forests, grassed areas, water streams, calm gardens and even a castle.
Discovering Slovakia: Inovec
Mountain range Považský Inovec is spreading along the river Váh between cities Piešťany and Trenčín. The area is favourite for hiking.
Czech Rep: Gardens in Kromeriz
Kroměříž is a city in the Morava region, north of Brno and Luhačovice. The historical centre of Kroměříž is nice to walk around as well as the Archbishop’s Château, the Flower Garden and the Château Garden, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.
