Seychelles: Netopiere nad morom / Bats above the sea

🇸🇰 Na Slovensku nad vodnými plochami lietajú čajky, na Seycheloch netopiere. 😁  Seychelský netopier je najväčší druh ovocného netopiera na svete. Vidieť ich tu lietať cez deň, na rozdiel od ich európskych príbuzných. Pripravuje sa z nich tradičné curry, považované za miestnu delikatesu. Netopiere sú tu lovené do sieťových pascí alebo háčikov, ktoré sú natiahnuté naprieč letovou dráhou netopierov a môžu spôsobiť zranenia alebo smrť, čo vyvoláva kontroverzie.

🇬🇧 In Slovakia, seagulls fly over water, while in the Seychelles, it’s bats. 😁 The Seychelles bat is the largest species of fruit bat in the world. They can be seen flying during the day, unlike their European relatives. Bats are consumed as a traditional curry, considered a local delicacy. They are caught in net traps or hooks stretched across their flight paths, which can cause injuries or death, leading to controversy.
