Piatkový výlet na Beckov. Slniečko svietilo do kroku a počasie bolo už jarné.
Friday trip to Beckov castle ruins. The weather was warm, sunny and it felt like spring.
Beckov is a small village between Trenčín and Piešťany. A ruin of a medieval castle on a high rock is visible from far away. The castle has been integral part of Slovak history and a lot of tales about knights and kings are associated with it. The location is ideal for a short trip into the countryside and in the summer, the castle grounds host an exhibition of medieval arts and skills. You can read more about the castle here (in English) and here (in Slovak).
