Pokhara is located in western part of Nepal and the city is the starting point for many hiking trips and expeditions to the Himalayas. From the lake in Pokhara, there is a fantastic view of the whole western Himalaya range including Annapurnas (there are four Annapurna peaks), Machapuchare and Dhaulagiri. The high zoom photo above was taken in the evening in October 2014 from a hotel roof in Pokhara, Nepal. The golden colour of the sun reflects over Annapurna II peak, height 7937 m above sea level.
